Amanda Wycoff grew up in a building family and has been around new construction her entire life, as her father, Hugh Wycoff, has been a builder for over 40 years. At the age of five she remembers standing on the roof of her father's development, Lakeview Condominiums, and waving down at her kindergarten teacher. At the age of eight her parents caught her scouring through home plan books under her covers, flashlight in hand, at 2 o'clock in the morning. At the age of ten she traveled during summer vacation to Topeka, Kansas, where her father was building a motel. There she acted as his office manager: answering phones, taking messages and offering office support as necessary. Throughout her teenage years she worked as the clean-up crew on her father's new construction homes. It is safe to say she has sawdust in her blood.

Amanda graduated from Eureka College with a B.A. in Business Administration. Her focus on business and construction shifted while studying in London her junior year in college, as she fell in love with the West-End stage. Upon her return to Eureka, she added a Theatre Arts and Drama minor to her class load and was scouted by her soon-to-be mentor, John Ritter, who urged her to pursue an acting career in Los Angeles. So, after graduation, off she went to L.A. in her little Toyota to spread her wings, briefly checking the rearview mirror to see her dad wearing his tool belt and waving goodbye. Over the course of seven years she worked on many interesting projects and with many successful actors. Though having achieved many of her acting dreams, she found herself working at a downtown Los Angeles real estate company, Reavis Realty, for a stable income between acting jobs. Her thoughts and dreams became less and less about acting and more and more about plan books, hammers and sawdust.

One glorious day, fate stepped in and Amanda received a job offer to be the Marketing Director for a unique subdivision in Normal called Franklin Heights. Within an hour she accepted the job and in 30-days she had sawdust all over her. Ahhh... Amanda was finally home! Soon thereafter she obtained her Real Estate License and began working for Coldwell Banker Heart of America as a Realtor. Within a year she started her very own construction company, Wycoff Custom Homes and can nearly always be found with a little sawdust somewhere on her! She utilizes Hugh as her Project Supervisor on a daily basis, as she recognizes that 40-years of experience is an extremely valuable tool to have at her fingertips.

Amanda's favorite facet of building is that she is building a house that will become a HOME where her clients will create memories. Christmases and birthdays will be celebrated in these homes. Babies will take their first steps there. Family dinners will be had in the dining rooms of these homes. "I'm so honored that my clients chose me to build their home and go to great lengths to make sure it will be exactly the home they dreamed of!"
